Cotto Manetti is a brand specialized in floorings, claddings and design accessories, made from the finest quality Impruneta terracotta by Manetti Gusmano & Figli, whose furnace has been active at Greve in Chianti since 1780. Acclaimed worldwide for its manufacturing excellence, its kilns have now been working uninterruptedly since 1975: a perpetual witness to the Manettis’ activity and passionate dedication.

Fine Impruneta terracotta since 1780
For eight generations the Manettis have been dedicated to the production of Impruneta terracotta. Their kilns produce floorings, claddings, terracottas and fine quality objects.
In 2018 Manettis took over Sannini, the historic firm founded in 1908 and the first kiln to introduce drawn terracotta into the Impruneta territory. Today Sannini’s technological expertise is focused on the making of facings for architecture.
Since 1968 the Manetti family has also been making fine Chianti Classico wine, in Panzano in Chianti.

The Manetti quarries contain galestro (calcar clay schist), a sedimentary rock-based clay peculiar to the Impruneta area. This clay gives the local terracottas their special colour, resistance, strength and porosity. The processing expertise gained by the Manetti family in their two and a half centuries of making terracotta, combined with the uniqueness of the local clay, creates supreme quality products, strictly according to the district’s traditions.
